Meet the Team

  • Christie Amadio

Naturopath - Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy)

I am beyond excited to be part of the exceptionally talented team at Mito Core. This work is a seamless alignment with my passion for integrative health and my unwavering belief in the synergy between science and nature. Mito Core embodies the evolution of modern healthcare—blending advanced scientific innovation with holistic principles to create truly client-centered care. This philosophy deeply resonates with my core values, and I am eager to contribute to this groundbreaking vision while empowering clients to achieve their unique health goals and thrive."

Christie’s approach to healthcare is centered on meeting people where they are, understanding their unique journeys, and providing personalised care that truly works for them.

At 19, she owned and operated a bustling boutique fitness centere, inspiring clients to embrace healthy eating and regular exercise. Back then, she believed there was no excuse for not prioritising health. With little life experience, her idealistic perspective shaped by limited scope of reference. Over the years, life's challenges—including navigating the corporate world, living abroad, fertility struggles, parenting, and the ups and downs that come with it all- deepened her empathy and shifted her understanding of health.

Through years of studying Naturopathic Medicine, Christie recognise the complex interplay of mental, physical, and biological factors that can impact someone’s ability to focus on their health—or even find the energy to begin.

Good health is no longer a one-dimensional goal; it’s a delicate balance of mental, physical, and emotional well-being that must align with each individual's unique circumstances. Christie finds her role in guiding, encouraging and supporting clients as they navigate their path to healing. Whether they choose to walk, crawl, or run that path is entirely up to them—she meets them every step of the way.

  • Jennifer Harrington

Naturopath - Bachelor of Health Science (Naturopathy)

I’m thrilled to be part of the Mito Core team, with my 21 years of clinical experience and a passion for root-cause health solutions. Mito Core’s advanced testing equipment enables me to instantly assess cellular function and health parameters, allowing real-time insights without waiting for lab results. Access to bio-stacking tools uniquely enhances my naturopathic practice, supporting deeper, faster healing for clients. I’m also grateful for my mentorship with Brett O’Brien, whose expertise in data interpretation and cellular-focused treatment strategies has profoundly shaped my approach. With Mito Core’s resources, I look forward to making a meaningful impact on every person’s journey to better health.

Jen’s personal journey into natural therapies began in her early twenties after a diagnosis of PCOS and the daunting possibility of infertility. After an unsuccessful trial with the oral contraceptive pill due to its side effects, she turned to naturopathy. The pain subsided, cycle regulated and fertility returned—an experience so transformative that she left a television career to help other women facing similar challenges.

After graduating, Jen worked at the renowned Chiva Som International Health Resort in Thailand, where she was inspired by the rapid transformations guests achieved away from daily distractions. This experience solidified her commitment to running retreats, where focused time and a healing environment yield powerful results. She continues to run health retreats today, creating transformative experiences that help women reconnect with their well-being and find renewed vitality.

She returned to Sydney to become a mother and was grateful for the impact of naturopathy on her fertility journey. Since then, she has practiced in various clinics, run corporate health presentations, and facilitates retreats. In 2020, she published her book, From Invisible to Invincible: The Natural Menopause Revolution, to empower women with natural approaches to menopause.

  • Nicolas Faust

After creating and growing GenBiome with Dr Christabelle Yeoh, Nicolas wanted to offer something to support the wider community's aspiration for healing and thriving.

The Next Level health retreats that took place in nature with strong educational components to bio-physics were life changing for some patients: experiencing that became the catalyst to create Mito Core - an offering of therapeutic handpicked technologies that would contribute to people's physical and energetic bodies towards an overall resilience for living our lives fully.

  • Brett O'Brien

    Technical Advisor

Brett is an experienced naturopath who sees the future of health care based around a preventative or wellness model. People will proactively seek options, make choices and strategise for the prevention and treatment of their dis-ease.

The approach is designed to increase cellular capacity and resilience, to allow the whole body to adapt more effectively and therefore return to homeostasis and a state of self-regulation, bringing more well-being and thus health outcomes. The treatment supports individuals by providing more cellular resources, management and skills required to independently resolve this natural process.  The approach is to build and ensure a healing surplus of energy. Each system within the clinic is directly supportive of each other, which induces a “telescopic-like” response – as you extend the telescope you are able to see further.

  • Daren Sassall

    Technical Advisor

Darren is Brett’s business partner and Wollongong clinic co-founder, Core Naturopathics. He is an experienced naturopath that teaches clients the basis of health creation.

The approach is based on the five elements that sustain life – water, air, food, sunlight  and the fifth element of electromagnetic frequencies (PEMF, magnetism). These elements allow a healing momentum to arise and thus enable the body to return to homeostasis or a perfect balance. These are the traditional naturopathic principles, methods that have been used by Naturopaths for centuries – just with a very modern twist.
